i am tired of my feet holding up an invisible sign that says we protest the things u did today. im tired of their back talk in the mornings and at night lol i wish there was a way to ground them from speaking their minds lol
River, I hear you. Foot pain is one of my biggest complaints. It's awful; if it was an arm, we could rest it, but our feet are used all day every day. :/ If I had suggestions, I'd share, but I've yet to find anything that helps. Sorry your feet hurt too.
its ok rewing :) i will be seeing my doc again soon he left a message for me to make another appt to discuss "options" as soon as i can. i cant remember a time when a doc will say the words "as soon as you can", "discuss options" "need you in my office" in the same sentence has ever been a good thing so now im very nervous lol thanks doc lol
Hope everything's ok. That would make me nervous, but it's good that he's watching you closely and actually wants to talk to you. Lol.
Hi River - well, you DO have a sense of humor about all that's going on! I have trouble with my feet also. It's very strange too. Any problems with my feet, for some reason, occur at night, when I am in bed. They feel really hot and prickly. I can't stand to have anything on them. So, I stick my feet out of the blanket to cool them down. However, here is the weird part, even though they feel like they are really hot - I will feel my feet and they would be cool to the touch. Can't figure this out!! I have no idea if this is Fibro related. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, with my fibro acting up too, I am NOT in a good mood!! LOL Also, like you, when I am on my feet all day, I am just exhausted. Hope you feel better?? Love, Laurie
thanks laurie and my doc described it as the nerves going into over drive and its possible that blood flow is decreased to some level in the feet making them feel cold to the touch but its not exactly a circulation problem at the same time doc said i have a strong pulse in my feet so that leads him to think it is nerve related to some degree and being that hands and feet are usually the first things to get cold on a body he said he isnt surprised that those are the areas that most have issues with and lol im backwards i guess cuz lol i cant stand not having my feet covered with a nice soft blanky thats warm and my feet are still cold even after that but somehow the weight makes them feel slightly better and by slightly i mean it doesnt take the tingles or the pain or coldness away but it does seem to relax it a bit i will ask my doc about that so far it seems he is tracking me every 2 weeks give or take a day here or there
if i spoke my mind to my mother like my feet speak their minds to me i would have been grounded to my room till i was 50 lol but nooooooooooo these kids just wont listen tonight one of them even twitched at me but thats ok they still wont win i will find a way to win eventually cuz im not a quitter and i never will be a quitter its not in my nature to quit no matter what the problem is if one way dont work there are others ways that will need tried eventually something will work its a matter of being stubborn enough to find the one or two or three things that work
Thank for posting this River, this was only a minor problem for me until recently when I started Tai Chi. For 4 weeks now my ankles, heels and feet have been painful during the day and really painful at nights. Wasn’t sure if it was fibro or something else. I find if I massage them with cream in the morning and night they quiet down a bit. I also do some ankle mobility and other exercises for the feet. It is painful while doing it, but they seem to relax a bit. You’ve probably tried these things, but if not, I hope it may provides you with some relief.
thanks u and yup i even soak them in warm water in a big bowl with 3 caps of baby oil it seems to help a bit too it comes out to be like 9 cups of water to 3 capfuls of baby oil or the other thing i use is bath salts with minerals
LOL, you just need to give your "dawgs" a proper talking to!
Have you tried inserts? Unfortunately the custom molded ones are expensive (mine were $325, insurance refused to pay so I couldn't get them.) I am using my old pair and they saved my life! But I'm not sure if they'd work for fibro pain or not. Surely a warm bath with Epsom salts would help a bit.
Like someone else said, it's a bear when it's your feet because you HAVE to be on them to get around, so there's no way to avoid the pain. Unless you can learn to walk on your hands, lol!
hi petunia :) yup i have inserts for both my shoes and my boots and im thinking of trying a different style i plan to talk with my doc since he wants to discuss options anyway come the 20th and lol i have crawled to the bathroom in the mornings from being so stiff but yet i have to pee so crawling works lol heck we learned to crawl before we learned to walk and now i know why lol
