I am new to my diagnosis and wondered if aching when it was damp and rainy was common. When there is a front in that brings this weather I hurt all over, especially my hands and other joints and generally feel like I have been beaten up (what I imagine it might feel like!).
Welcome robin. I totally understand what you're talking about. I ache all over, accompanied with some very sharp pains when the weather changes. Humidity and a storm front are my enemies! I also tend to get bad headaches and extreme fatigue when the weather changes dramatically. While everyone Fibro is unique to themselves, weather related aches and pains are pretty common.
Welcome Robin. I experience the same thing, full body ache; joints, and especially my hands. I have OA too. And its not just the damp and humidity, but extremes in temperatures too. Last winter with the bitter cold we had, was very difficult for me. I tend to agree with Rosie, that weather as a trigger for symptoms is quite common. Sometimes a journal that captures, activities you are doing, weather changes and other stressors in your life can help to show you a pattern of what are some of your triggers. I really hope you feel better soon. A hot bath with epsom salts sometimes helps in taking the ache away. I also use heating pads too. Take care. Hugs!!
Hi Robin, That's exactly how I described it to my doctor. Every inch of my body hurt. At first it was just the cold fronts. Then it was cold room like meeting room and movies now it's the humidity also. Epson salts baths and heating pad especially at night are a must. I spend most of my day doing things to fight the pain or fatigue. ThAt is why this site is so important. We learn from each other. Be well.
Yes severe weather changes that happen overnight make me feel like I have been run over by a Mack Truck!
Extreme cold and extremely hot and humid weather are worst for me.
Boy, I can relate. I'm terrible when it's damp or raining. I just want to lie in bed all day. I guess it's good that we in CA are having a drought. LOL.
Yes. The cold snow in the winter is the worst for me. Makes it so hard for me to even move or breath.
Mine used to get worse with cold weather and rain now it's any weather change and hot weather is an issue as well as cold each bring a different level of pain and other issues .
