Big snow storm on the way, and boy do I feel it!

Not since hurricane Sandy blew through here have I been hit this hard. Guess that means the barometric pressure is falling fast. Soon the temp will be dropping too. Starts at 9 tonight, snows all night at 9 am it becomes heavy with strong winds. Expected 10-14 inches. As long as the power stays on and we have heat we'll be okay. They are bringing the baby, Granddaughter will have to stay at work.

Not sure how long I'll have internet!

Stay warm everyone!

Luckily I got my Mom to the Dr today and meds for Bronchitis, now both grandkids are coming. It will be good having them, but exhausting! No one is feeling too good, but have to take care of the kids. I will NOT be going out in this!

Oh no, not again!!! I'm so sorry it's hitting you so hard, SK. Snowstorms seem even worse, fibro-wise, than rain storms. Your area is going to get clobbered from what you're saying. I hope you have all of the provisions left over from the last time around! And hope the power and heat stay on!!! That goes for all of you in the path of this storm.

(I wonder if my knee agony could be related to the storm?)

Hey SK, have you ever thought of moving your whole family (I know you would need to bring the grand kids to the West Coast lots of rain, but not much snow. Seriously, I’m sorry you’re getting hit again, the weather on the East Coast is scary. I have a sister-in-law in Virginia. Best wishes coming your way for your power to stay on, and you to stay nice and warm, and happy spending time with your grand kids.

It's the only way I would ever leave here again! Have to be near the grandkids! I loved the SF bay area, and said if I ever went to Hawaii again, I would make it a one way ticket! I doubt I could get them to move though, so here I'll stay!

It's snowing to beat the band, is absolutely beautiful! It is very crystalline and sparkles, but has affected my back to the point where I cannot even lay down!

I broke my own rule tonight about not taking morphine when I have the boys, it has helped a little. Lack of sleep is going to be a big one here! Mom's sick with Bronchitis, we'll probably all end up with that. Glad my hubby is around, he cooked dinner tonight, and I think that's why it snowed! ha!

Oh, we'll get by, I really love those little guys and they are always so excited to come! They keep me going and keep me laughing!

Hey rattled, at the moment it's a mix of snow and rain, however the barometric pressure is rising, and that is a big help. Glad the weather channel is finally reporting the BP, although I'm sure most of us can do that ourselves!

I'm lucky if I slept one complete hour last night, Hubby put the baby in our bed and he flipped around all night! I told him no more of that! Gonna be a LONG day! ha!

We just hit the jackpot for a snow day! My husband just brought me up a big box of all kinds of stickers and things for scrap books, baseball, sailing, Mickey Mouse, football, cars and trucks! There are colored pencils, all kinds of paper, glue dots, I knew we had those from a yard sale or something! As soon as they are finished with the x-box the boys and I will be busy for hours!

There are even Easter stickers, so I found some paper plates with the Easter theme they can use for those!

If we would have bought these in a store they would have cost us a fortune! Woo Hoo. a great project!

Yes indeed, I need all the 'flip prevention' I can get! LOL! Ah, you know me so well already! ha!

We got a bad blizzard up here on Sunday. I don't remember the last time my pain has been this bad. I also finally figured out that if I eat something with sugar, the pain gets much worse.Susan, I also had to take Mom to the Dr. yesterday, and went to get a new bed after that. Lupus got into my spine, so it kind of helped me to pick a mattress. Picking a mattress while I was in pain helped me figure out which mattress felt good even when i'm really hurting. My bed is 40 years old, and has big dips and springs poking up from when my Dad had it, and day before yesterday another spring poked into my back. now I have to hire someone to help me strip the bed, wash all the bedding ,clean under the bed etc. before the bed gets delivered It was a $1000 bed and I got it for $499.I felt like I was in a luxury hotel. Best luxury I ever bought.

Congrats on the new bed Sheila! That will make a real difference in your life, you deserve all the comfort you can get, my friend.

BTW, I'm a Downton Abbey fan, they filmed it at the estate of Lord Carnarvon, the man who backed your relative Howard Carter to find King Tut's tomb. HIs heirs still live there! I certainly could get used to the way they lived! Money isn't everything, but it's a lot of it! ha!

Be well, be happy,

SK

Oh my stars Susan, do you know where that mansion is located? I'd love to add that info to my genealogy and stories of family members. Too bad Howard Carter didn't know he was related to Isaac Newton. Or maybe he DID know. Hard to tell.

Crossing my fingers and saying a prayer that your power and internet will stay on. Was the snow as high as was predicted?

http://www.highclerecastle.co.uk/ Eat your heart out, girlfriend! You know Carter was madly in love with Lord Carnarvon's daughter, she was not interested in him however.

No the snow was not nearly as bad as predicted and the rain has diminished most of it, now if it freezes tonight, it will be bad news!

Thanks so much Susan! It's in Newbury, so I looked that up on Wikipedia.
