The Sun Is Coming Out Tomorrow! So Glad!

I live in South Carolina, near the ocean. Every since the tropical storm Karen came through 2 1/2 weeks ago, we have had nothing but overcast skies, and rain. Major in the Bed Misery!!!!! I've been checking the weather every day to see when I would finally get a break. After today we are going to having sunny days for at least a week. I am so glad, praying I will get a few good days.

My oldest daughter is turning 25 tomorrow and her and her son Chance, are coming down from Greenville for a few days. We have taken a vacation time and are going to go to Myrtle Beach for a few days. So pray I will have a few good days to get out and do some things with my family, and won't be stuck in the bed hurting.

Added picture of my grandson and daughter.

Hello,

Hope you have a wonderful time with your family, in the sunshine.

Your Daughter and Grandson look lovely.

I remember my Son reading "The Cat in The Hat" !!

Love Lucy xx

Dear Rosebudsmom,

Oh yes, those storms are absolute murder, when the barometric pressure plummets like that, there is nothing like it on the pain scale! I know when we get the tail end of them, I just have to heavily dose my meds and go to bed, I'm in total agony! It's a real fight to get over them!

Hope the storm leaves quickly, the sun comes back out and you can enjoy your kids, and grand kids! They are the very best medicine for us!

Sending a hug,

SK

No one understands how much we enjoy the sun when it is dry and warm. I am in Massachusetts and the temperatures have been dipping especially at night. But today we had sun and it was warm with a cool breeze. I went on a hike with a friend and I just wanted to freeze the moment. The foliage was beautiful, the sunlight reflecting off objects was so bright and best of all -NO PAIN!!!! ( after two weeks of flares )

Hey dozer! How good it is to hear from you, girl! Sounds like you had a really good day! Hope more of those are on the way for you! don't be a stranger!

Sending a hug,

SK

Hi SK,

I have not had a long series of flares in a while and the most recent ones were really bad. The pain and fatigue subsided last night and it was great I was able to enjoy the hike with new guy in my life. So far it is going well.

I am hoping thats how I will feel after today. Sounds like a wonderful day.

Those flares are the worst! But hoping few some better days ahead. Actually I am already starting to feel the difference. Had a half was decent day today.

Thanks Lucy. Sure am hoping so.

That is my favorite thing to do with my grandson. When he is with us I usually get to read him books until he goes to sleep. He will roll over and tell me " I'm still listening grandma", then he is out about a minute later.

By Melody! Where are you? I’m in Charleston!

Hooray for sunshine!!! I can SOOOO relate, as it's almost NEVER sunny in New England. So I know how gloomy you must feel on top of the fibro pain! Sooo glad that the sun is due to come out for you. I hope you have a great time at Myrtle Beach with your daughter and son! That should be utterly fantastic, Melody! Great place, great weather and great people. You know, that is the absolute recipe for a great day.

Now I'm going to look at the photo of your two most favorite people. And then put my head down and cry for not living someplace reasonably warm (with a beach!)

Hugs!

Petunia

Hi Dozer!

It's nice to see you again! Hey, I'm a fellow Massachusettsian and know what you mean about wishing you could freeze a moment in time. It was similar weather on Sunday and I was thinking much the same thing while looking at foliage and the ocean up in Marblehead. I love the ride up to it and adore the tiny, winding roads. But you REALLY have to be mentally sharp or else you'll wind up in the living room of some old 1700's colonial. I mean, I'd love to see the insides of one but not like that!

Hiking in this weather must have been marvelous! And with a new man, better still. It's so NICE to know that we can still LIVE and ENJOY our lives, even if those moments are less. I think we hold them dearer as a result.

Hugs and some red-gold tree leaves floating your way,

Petunia

I am in Georgetown, not too far away from you! :)

Melody

I hope the weather is nice and you have a wonderful time. Such a lovely family.

I am so happy for you!! Fog has always made me physically sick...even as kid. I lived in Napa/Sonoma here in Ca which is hour from the coast so we could get fog but not bad.

My grandmother though lived right on the ocean and i always got sick once the fog came in. SOO..i hope you spend entire day outside and enjoy the sunshine.

I been to your state and even to Greenville! In fact a woman i work with took a job as boss at the paper there! small world. I never did get to the outer banks which my brother in law had told me to see...and i regret. my friend i went back with to visit her family now lives in Atlanta area...maybe i will go with her one day!

Enjoy the SUN!! i am sure you will get out and have a good time!!

Hi Petunia,

I know what you mean about Marblehead. The park overlooking the ocean is very nice. I lived up in Swampscott and Ipswich for 6 years. I still visit friends up there. I went on a hike on the border of Dedham and Needham. It was a little odd because although I was walking through marshland (boardwalk) all I could hear was the highway. If I had been in Concord or the north shore I believe I would have heard some wild life. Maybe not.

When I met my 'new man' he was afraid I would run because he has leukemia. It is sad he does but in a way I am relieved I don't have to try keeping up with someone and constantly explaining myself. He keeps himself busy nonetheless and I really admire that.

Hugs

You are close! Sun out today but it was cool here!

Yeah, living by the ocean has it's perks, but also has it's pains when storms are lingering out there. I need to take advantage of the summer and get out there and enjoy it, but this year I have just had too tough of a time to do that. :( Anyway, the sun is out! But the temperature has dropped, but I can handle that a little better.

Yeah Karen, its cool here this morning. Had too put my robe and slippers on to take my little Sophie (puppy) out to do her morning business. It was cold. First time we turned the heat on. My back is killing me, but am hoping with the Tramdol I just took that it will ease off and I will have a decent day. Got to get my house straightened out for company. :)

Sunshine is out, it's cold, but Im sure tempertures in the 60's to some of you up North isn't considered that cold.
