Those severe storms and tornadoes due to hit the midwest soon, are on their way to me tonight and tomorrow! Should I lose power and internet, please take care of each other, remember the birthdays of our friends, and be good to yourselves!
Stay safe! We are in alerts here in Wisconsin and it looks like south of us are going to get hard hit in the Chicago area and then move towards Ohio, Michigan and East. Looks like we may get some high winds and lots of rain - we do need rain - but it may move past our county. We are patiently waiting the call from the hospital and the arrival if my granddaughter - so afraid to drive in it!
SK …I’m not sure I’d be brave enough to live where you live, with all the storms, tornados etc. Never realized how lucky I was living on the west coast, lots of rain, but no tornatoes or hurticanes. Stay safe and warm and let us know how you are doing when you can.
Be prepared with battery lanterns, a weather radio a safe place to be and lots and lots of blankets to put over you and your family and pets. Don’t leave your pets alone!!! Izzies and my best spot is in our big walkin’ shower (no glass all solid tile). She knows when the pillows and blankets come out there’s a chance for storms. 1230-image.jpg (84.1 KB)
Wishing you well on your end, SK, and everyone else who'll be affected by this storm. It sounds like it's going to be a big one - well, a collection of a bunch of storms, actually. i woke up in a lot of pain today so I can tell it's big, if it's affecting me up in my area. I hope you're not being affected in that way, SK, though i imagine you are. I'm guessing that you are, though.
Please stay safe and be well. My thoughts are with you and your family and I pray that all stays well for you and them, plus all of our other readers in harm's way.
Oh SK, not another storm on its way to you!! That is what you do not need. The trouble is that it takes us awhile to recover from such things...........sometimes a week. In the meantime another storm can come and hit you when you are still in recovery mode!
Stay safe. Get prepared. I am praying for your safety.
Hey! I'm going to get hit with those same severe Storms and tornadoes tomorrow afternoon. Welcome to Maryland!
I have an appointment with my pain doctor at my pain clinic at 11:00 AM. I have a surprise going in tomorrow. It is my daughter's last day as a junior in high school. I'm picking her up at 9:30, we'll grab something to eat and head over to see my doctor. this will be my daughter's first time there and she is interested in confronting the doctor and saying something to the effect of "You promised my Dad would feel better within a year. It's been eleven months and he is nowhere near where he should be. Why not? What are you doing to help him feel better at this point?"
I can only imagine her asking this question and having it immediately followed by a loud clap of thunder. She would then raise an eyebrow and say, "Hmmmmm???"
Egads, Sandi! I'm glad you went down into the basement and pray that you're ok. And that your daughter can hold off on giving birth until this horrible weather has passed. Be safe!!
Stay safe SK !!! geez I’m thinking western New York is not so bad … You have had your share, & I totally feel your pain, we had three days of rain & I felt so much worse
