I have my first appt with a Chiropractor with the hopes this is going to help my pain. Has anyone been or goes to the Chiropractor for thier FM? Is there anything I should talk to him about? Has this helped anyone?
I went to the chiropractor my ortho doctor referred me. It really helped i would still be going but i lost my insurance. He also sent me to massage therapy
i love massage therapy and have a great therapist. i didnt not care for chiropratic but some people find much benefit with it. i think it may also depend on what other pain conditions a person may have. i have spine disease , osteoarthritis and osteo porosis so i realized i didnt want anyone cracking me up. LOL no pun intended but it was punny,

Hi Maggie,
I'm a BIg supporter of chiropractors. I've been going to one for many years, off and on. I've been seeing him more often than I use to these past few years and he helps me a lot. I just call him when I know I'm out. The most I ever see him at one time is two weeks in a row. Then I'm usually good for a while. I can tell you - you DO NOT want a chiropractor that has you coming back every week for months at a time. Those kind of drs are nothing but, gold diggers - in my opinion. Since you've never gone before, it may take you going a few times ( 2 to 4 times) till your body stays in alignment but, it's worth it.

It really depends on the chiropractor. If you go a few times without help, you might want to consider changing. The DC's are often able to release the tight areas we find, especially in our neck, shoulders, and arms. I just wish that it wasn't so expensive. I do have insurance but need to check around to someone closer and perhaps newer in practice. If it were me I'd definitely try. I've used them on and off for years and I'm grateful for each I've been to. I'm not fond of the chiropractors that "pop" you. I LOVE the DC's that do the muscle manipulation. I need to visit mine! Ah! Also, be sure and tell him or her if the way they treat you feels good or not. Good communication is essential! It's taken me a long time to get that lesson-I'm still working on it! Thanks for your comment! :-) Best of luck at your appt!
I been to Chiro off on since I was in my early 20's. I suffered migraines a friend took me to one. I was very reluctant to go, but for the first time in years my headache disappeared. I had other problems which it helped. I believe wholeheartedly in chiropractic care. Insurance only pays for so many visits, then u have to take a break redo it. I don't use one now because my bones are too brittle. I break easy. Most of my family still go get adjusted. Goodluck {{{{Hugs}}}}}
