Ok, so I put a joking title up for this one. But in all seriousness, what the heck?? So I am a pretty avid coffee drinker, coffee really helps give me the caffeine kick when I can’t seem to get myself moving in the morning (you know, pretty much every day…). But now, out of the clear blue sky, coffee gives me horrible stomach cramps, makes me feel even nauseated to a certain degree. I am not sure what is causing this though, so any thoughts?? I keep gluten free, but I don’t think coffee has gluten in it does it? Lol anyone that feels like venturing an idea, I would thank you deeply. I would really hate to say goodbye to coffee after all of our years together, and I’m not sure if I can find anyone like it. (Please excuse my humor, but I am writing this post very very early in the morning.)
Blessings and prayers
Try German coffee, it has less acidic taste finer ground beans looks like powdered sugar in been form. The best I had there and here is Kerûng in a green bag. After you start drinking this you will never go back to American coffee, not even Starbucks. Hope this helps as I'm drinking my coffee now :)
I'm sorry to say that some people develop a sensitivity to caffeine. I know sometimes if I have too many coffees that I feel the same way. Do you have milk in your coffee? Could it be the milk if so? You can try a less acidic type, like CDFRANCE said. Maybe a caffeine free type if you'll miss the taste too much. It all depends on whats causing the problem.
Thanks for the suggestions both of you. I might try a different coffee brand yeah. Oddly enough, decafe makes me really jittery like caffeine does for most people. I just enjoy the taste in the morning haha
The Kerûng is only decaf if u get the wrong bag ;)! Had hard time going back to American, so sometimes as special treat get the good stuff
I found that I had an acid stomach, and was put on lanosaprole (Prevacid). I can now take my coffee with milk or drink a less acidic coffee. Like wines, coffee beans produce different qualities. I like Kona coffee because it doesn't seem to be as acidic.

Wow! I thought I was the only one who reacted like that!
I do know that decaf coffee is often processed with chemicals or eggshells. Both chemicals and eggs are a problem for me. Bottom line, I like my coffee, it helps me think. It tastes good. I enjoy it. Where there's a will, there's a way!

Hi Rattel'd!
Lanosaprole is basically generic Prevacid. Omeprazole is generic Prilosec. I keep the OTC version on hand in case I forget to renew my Rx. Ironically, it's one of the easiest ones for my insurance to cover. The asthma meds, however, are an issue. :)
Hope this helps!
