Fibro fog or senior moments?

Hahahaha! You two made me cry for laughing! Thanks for the pain relief!

Hahaha! Proper rib pain funny - the glass moments. Doors, windows etc.

Aww sorry I was obviously being a thick English person, because a purse here is the same as a wallet. So now I am even more "foggy" than I was before. But saving money does sound perfect sense!

avenk: Glad to hear that someone else has ocd about food. Mine is so extreme, I can't eat in a restaurant because I always think that when the waiter or waitress are bringing my food to the table they are turning their heads or could be talking - and their DNA is getting in my food! (Dandruff , spit). Also, if I am eating something and someone leans over and looks at my food or shows any interest in it, it goes straight to the garbage. Hence, I eat alone. Even at family gatherings. If I have to sit at table, I will start to cry and won't eat a thing. My husband is very understanding about this because I was like this when he met me. This started when I was in my teens and don't know why I have it. I have ocd in other areas, but food is the main one. Just another thing to feel guilty and embarrassed about! JoJo

Lol! I have a bf in ohio, and when I rarely see him, he has that awful "dip". It just makes me think "red neck" so I'd rather he smoked lol. Omg the karaoke in one place was so weird I had to leave

Awww don't make cry. Thats really sweet. I have to laugh because the painkillers are so bad. I've got docs (again) later and hopefully I won't have to choke him, lol JK. Then I will be leaning on the lettersssssssssssssssssssssssss half asleep

(Gagging) Omg ur joking. Please say yes. Dirty little so and so's. Does it help them see under water? lmao. I'm a bit "Monica" with furniture, coasters and ornaments etc but not bad. I just hate clutter etc too.

Fish eyes? I think I will throw up now. :frowning: thanks for that visual.

You don’t have to feel guilty or,embarrassed, Jo. We all have our little quirks. Maybe I should use that one to get out of family “discussions” (which means my dad pontificating about any and all topics). Maybe he will be better this time around. Seeing them in a few hours. Say some prayers for me.

Aw bless that must be really difficult for you. I couldn't imagine it.

My friends sister has OCD which they think may be related to childhood too, where she was bullied at school, plus their dad used to be quite awful, controlling and a bully himself.

I feel so sorry for anyone who suffers with this as it restricts your lives so much and many rarely go out the house.

I hope you can get help with this and make life a little easier for yourself

Hugs

Jo

Does anyone zone out too? Like you're staring into space.

I get this all the time especially in supermarket when I'm waiting in a queue. My brother takes me shopping a lot and I keep doing this. He thinks its funny to see how long it lasts (the little sh.. lol) and how much of my shopping he can pack before I realise the customer before me has gone. It's so funny, even the staff are laughing, but obviously I get a few stares from people thinking I'm a right nutter! I was hoping that they wouldn't find out .lol.

You area right nutter! LOL. I do it too. I will be talking and just go away. I used to be able to hide it all the time but it’s worse now and I can’t hide it. Or I will be listening to another person talk, watching tv, etc and just blank out. It is very frustrating. But it is a good thing when my husband is rattling on about some nonsense and I tune him out a nd he gets mad at me for not listening. I blame it on the fibro and he shuts up! Gotta get some benefit form this crap.

Haha, you're so right in very way lol. Some peoples voices have such a way of sending us off. Maybe they should tape themselves and it will help us sleep better at night. Stop Jo. No. I have enough problems with night terrors. But its good that some people take the hint. "Damn Fibro! I was so interested in what you were saying!" (Snigger)

ROTF and LMAO. If all sleep were that easy to come by, I would do it in a second.

About a month ago I was went shopping for groceries and a few things around the house. I came home and put everything away and went about my day (feeling very productive). Later that day my husband was asking for the shaving cream I was supposed to get him. I thought I picked it up but couldn't remember exactly. My husband went and bought more and everyone (but me) was satisfied. Three days later my son was getting something out of the freezer and there it was, the shaving cream! Everyone had a good laugh until I said "I sure hope there is not some freezer food in a closet somewhere". My husband and son both looked at me and got up and quickly started looking for anything out of place! hahaha

Hahaha. They love it and they know it! We may moan about the pain sometimes but everyone gets a free laugh on us on a daily basis. They should realise how lucky THEY are!

Hahahaha! You probably found some frozen fish, defrosted and dripping from the bathroom cupboard lol. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Yummy!

Omg how many times have I put a tray in the oven then realise an hour later that my food is burnt, only to find the oven is empty!! Waaaaaaaaaah!! I'm starving!! lol

lol God I can go on forever about it, I can't remember things I did today, but I have gotten in my car just a couple of months ago and its still snowing here in buffalo by the way, to go to my counselors and was just a block away, sitting at the red light I looked down and had a pair of my fuzzy slippers on, I had my boots right next to the door, so I had to have put them to the side in order to leave the house. And panic so bad, and turn the car around and come back home to change, didn't want to embarrass myself, and ended up being late for my appointment. My mind is completely lost all the time.

It finally stopped snowing and sleeting!

Avenk glad your fat chefs were united!
