I am new

Hey everyone, I am new to this page. I have never been part of a support group before. I am 22 years old, & was diagnosed with fibro a few years ago, and it just gets worse as time goes on…My family and my boyfriend are very supportive, but I decided I needed to vent to people who understand first hand what I’m feeling. I am in the middle of a bad flare, so now is a better time to join than any. I am very glad pages like this exist. Anything you have to tell me or want to say is helpful. Thank you.

Hello Samantha, I'm sorry things are not going well If you have any questions I will be more than happy to help talk things out...Lots of Love Wings

Hi Samantha and welcome! During a bad flare, I have found it is really important to remember to do nice things for myself and to take it easy. I try to relax, read a good book, talk to friends on here, take a warm bath with Epsom salt, enjoy the beauty outside my window, etc. Anyway, just some things I do. Hugs.

It IS rough during a bad flare, I hope it doesn't last long!!!

Up above is a dark purple stripe, go to Groups & there is a group for young people you can join.

welcome, You will find everyone here very helpful and supportive. I think of this site as my fibro family. I hope you find it that way as well. Feel free to call on me if I can help I will..

Big Hugs, Kaseygirl

Samantha, welcome to our community.

We’re always here if you need understanding from others with Fibro. And, it’s really great you have a supportive Mom and boyfriend as well.

I try to take it as easy on myself as possible when my pain seems to be flaring- physically and emotionally. I do my best to say no and focus on me…I relax, pace myself, take hot baths and get as much quality sleep as I can.

Hope you get to feeling better soon, hon.

Laurie

Believe me, sometimes you need to vent to someone who understands. My support system is awesome, but sometimes my cousin is the one I vent to. Hang in there and take things one day at a time. Hugs. Christina
