I need some help. Im very new here. I have been in pain with all small joints and headaches. very tired and all the same symptoms that all of us have. My questions is..My doc has me on neurotin and Norco, Yes I have been diag with wide spread fibro and osterarthitis, polyarthaliga. It it normal for me to be on a narcotic, It say 10.325 milligrams. I know this is a personal answer it will get. Im just very curious. Thanks Kimberly.

For me, I take Gabapentin (Neuronton) for nerve type pain and I also have a muscle relaxer (Robaxin) I use as needed. For me, Norco and other pain medications have not worked and I don't take them anymore. However, I do know some people have success with various pain meds. The thing I have learned over the years is it is ever-evolving and you just have to keep trying things to see what works for you. I also try to weigh the benefits of a medication (reduction in pain hopefully) against the risks (possible addiction, side effects, etc). This is the approach I take anyway. Also, it is good to have an open relationship with your doctor where you can discuss pros and cons of treatment options. Hugs.
I have taken Norco for years because I have spinal stenosis and degenerative bone disease. It does NOTHING for my fibro. I'm really happy for you if it works for you!
Florida will not prescribe a narcotic for these issues. I take tramadol and lidocaine patches.
I cannot take 10 325mg. It really ruins my stomach. Well dr. tried 7 325 mg that i could not take. It would help my fibro much more but just cannot use.
The only thing I use for pain is 800mg of Ibuprofen as needed. When I've over done it, I rely on it as well as my heating pad. If my joints are a bother, I have wraps for every joint. The compression seems to help. I hope you find what works for you. Good luck!

I have a very big massager that has heat on .I burn my self with just to stop the pain.My back has so many burn scares just to stop the pain so I can sleep
