Does anyone else have more joint pain when it rains? I've noticed that with recent rainy days I'm suffering migraines and arthritic pain in my hands and wrists, in addition to the dull achy pain I normally feel every day. I've missed several days of work and worried about my continued ability to function. My doctor put me back on a 7 day Medro pack last week, and I again felt like a new person with no pain and lots of energy, I was so productive and happier towards everyone around me. Sadly, I finished the last pill today and started feeling a serious decline in my health as the dosages decreased. Wish there was some way to stay on a high dose for a longer period of time, because my body definitely reacts to this medication in a very positive way- the swelling in my body went away, I was able to move around without pain, and I actually had the energy to climb the escalator instead of just riding it to the top! My mood also significantly improved, I was actually laughing and smiling again. But now I'm back to feeling down, heavy, and achy.
Hello Dani,
That is an interesting question, and I will follow! For me, I was just discussing this very thing with fellow chronic pain sufferers to-day, and we all agreed that the weather does affect us. Particularly the cold, wind and rain; I personally think on a warm sunny day I do feel so much better, and my mood improves as well, and maybe this is part of it....? Who knows.
Take care, Anne
Hi Dani,
with me the wet , cold and damp weather play a role in my pain and my mood....I feel much better when the sun is shining too like Anne and I'm sure others....It is so hard to be in a good mood and happy when you feel bad 95 % of the time...
The weather is a MAJOR factor! I really need the sun, but not the humidity and cold rain is the absolute worst!
Hey Dani,
I definitely understand and relate. My pain feels like it doubles everytime it rains, especially on days like today when the humidity is greatly increased. I also get pain in my joints and either feel like I am freezing cold or sweating because I am so hot (some of that may be pain related). Hang in there!
Blessings and prayers
YESSSS!!! My joints can now predict the weather and any barometric changes! It also seems my muscles and tendons have followed suit based on my recent flare. It seems we can either use this as a parlor trick or cry… I haven’t yet decided…
Hang in there, this too shall pass…it always does…
