Moving with fibromyalgia

Bc I can't find work we had to move in with my in-laws. Moving is not fibromyalgia friendly. I am still paying for it six days later.

I can well believe it, jesse4210. I hope someone else can do the heavy lifting for you next time. Feel better soon!

Jessie, I am not surprised that you are still paying for moving. The energy we had in our "before fibromyalgia" is much less now so ideally we would pace ourselves. When our body told us to stop and rest that is just what we would do. But that doesn't work very well with moving. So, some things that need to be done regardless of fibro we know that we are going to have some payback......and that's exactly what you are experiencing. Your body needs much rest after such a big job! I hope you had people helping you.

Have you got everything put away in cupboards and drawers? If not, just do one or two cupboards or drawers at a time and then rest. Don't get frustrated because it's a slow process. Frustration leads to stress which ignites widespread debilitating pain........a bad negative cycle.

I honestly don't know how I would handle it if I had to move, I think I would just curl up and want to die.

My husband is a pastor, we live in a parsonage, so it is eventually going to become a reality for me. Ugh! Hopefully not for several years.

Bless your heart. Hope you have great in-laws.

Hugs
