What a wonderful doctor, it is so nice when you find someone that believes you are in pain.
My shoulder(left) that has been so sore has a torn rottery cuff, so he gave me a cordizon shot. And he is sending me to neurologist because of my numbness in my hands and feet and also a diabetis test. He kept my meds the same and he had a lot of patience with me for about 45 min.
Hi Vicky, glad to hear that you’ve found a doctor that will listen to you and is checking out the possibly of diabetes and neurological problems . It’s also good he checked out your shoulder and didn’t just assume it was fibromyalgia. , did he give you any idea on what you needed to do or not do to ensure it heals. Let us know when you get the results back from the test, and once you’ve seen a neurologist.
I am so glad to hear a positive report about your appointment with your new doctor. To feel that he genuinely cared about you and believed that you were in pain. I hope the cortisone shot is long lasting and that you won't have to wait long for your appointment with the neurologist. Hum, it was worth the drive to find this doctor who didn't rush you through but spent 45 minutes with you. You found out about a number of things that need to be addressed. Numbness in your feet and hands is a definite concern as is the diabetes test.
Please keep us updated.
I wish that all of our members were so fortunate with their appointments.
Yes I am still on cloud nine..after all these years someone believed me. Had to go to my local doctor for my meds , asked if I could have a diabetes test and he said. wait till I get your report from the other doctor. Do not know what is the matter with him and I have no other gp I can go too.
The cortisone is working for now some relief somewhere is better than none.
