WELL No answers from the doc today!! he was stumped as to why I fesl so much pain without having trauma. He syas Fibro may very well be the reason. My X-rays were fine and I am getting an MRI next wk to be sure it isn't a ganglion cysts. . they custom fitted a splint to my arm and that's all folks!! I am so angry. . .if this is JUST fibro I will be even more angry!! On what effing planet does someones limb hurt to the screaming extent and there be nothing wrong?? BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. . . .ahhhhh. . .ah. .
Mo, I understand how you feel. I have gotten to the point where if it isn't one of my vital organs that is hurting, I just think it is fibro. In fact, when I have a new pain, etc. when I go to the doctor, I tell HER it is my fibro that is bothering me. All my limbs hurt but mostly my feet and ankles - so bad that it makes me cry and is really causing a lot of depression. Today my feet hurt so bad that I had to stay in bed and I am so depressed about it and feel so useless.
Why the splint on your arm? I thought it was your wrists and both of them? What is the splint for and how long do you have to keep it on?
my ankles and feet hurt so much too. . .The splint covers my wrist on up to my forearm. It stops my wrist from moving. I keep it on for as long as I need to. I normally wear a splint for a few days or while working to at school, take it off at home when Im relaxing and wear it to sleep. It helps stops the wrist from moving. . the custom one is formed to my arm perfectly which is nice. .
Well, pulling those carts around could have given you carpal tunnel, tendonitis... Again I am not a Doc, not trying to do a dx, but I think there is more to be looked at.
Lets hope you can get somewhere, I know your frustration!
I am thinking if those things I bought were not so tight, they may have helped me, the one molded to your arm is surely the best, you know it will be the right fit. They use those for the CT patients, you know.
