Nervous about Dr. Appointment for Disability

I have a doctor appointment appointed by the State with a Psychologist/Counselor's office today. I'm really nervous about it because it could be the deciding factor in whether or not my Disability gets approved. Any advice from those that have been through this?

Wish I could help. When I went through it I got treated crappie. He even insulted my weight. Just go through the motions and don’t let them upset you. You may have to take your case to court. Remember the person your seeing today’s is for the state not you

I talked to my law office today and was told that approval for disability depends, in large part, upon your doctor's notes and how thorough they are and how much they back up that you are in chronic pain. So if your doctor's notes say that you are capable of working blah blah, then you probably won't get approved the first time around. Of course, I'm sure the state's psychologist notes will also play into your disability decision but just stick to your guns and don't let them rattle you. You're in the right, no matter what.

Best of luck to you! Please give us an update on how it went.

Good Luck...And please let us know the out come.
