I'm having this new feeling that has occurred over the last week. I feel unsettled emotionally and physically. My muscles feel like they are overly active, but not literally moving, just antsy or unable to settle down. I can't even really describe it very well myself because it's new to me; because my body is acting up this way, it makes me feel like I can't get comfortable and relax.
Does anyone else have this feeling? What helps with it?
Hi Sara, have you had any recent medication changes? New medications or changed doses can sometimes cause side effects and I am wondering if this is what is happening? You should check with your doctor regarding this to make sure they are aware of it. Hugs!
Hi Sara, I second what Auburnm said because I do feel that way sometimes but I think it is a side effect to one of the many things I take. I also attribute it to my mild anxiety. I usually try to do range of motion exercises if you can, some guided meditation to relax every part of your body, and sometimes I take a warm bath. I find I really want to pace but that my legs hurt too much to pace. Its a challenge but I definitely sympathize. hugs
I think I get that some evenings, it is a feeling of restlessness for me. Ialways thought it was too much adrenaline, so I just try to walk around for a bit! Have tried to work out if there are any triggers, but the jury's out on that one!
You have an awful lot to put up with, I wish you luck and lots of good wishes that you find a way to cope.
Hi, SaraZ533. Be sure you talk with your doctor about restless legs syndrome. Restless legs can also be a fibro symptom as well as an indication of a low iron supply.

Thanks for the feedback and support. I am definitely going to speak with my doctor about this at my next visit. It isn't really in my legs like I have to move or I'm feeling like I need to be active, it's just this jittery feeling all over my body kind of like I have bugs crawling under my skin irritating my muscles, but not quite as bad as bugs; that just an analogy. I agree Meow that it might be attributed to my anxiety and the frequency/intensity at which my anxiety is elevated. I have not had any recent medication changes.
