I was diagnosed 4 years ago, although had all the symptoms for 3 years prior. After the death of my mother, I fell victim to depression. That’s when my symptoms of fibro began. It really hit me hard and debilitated me until I finally sought out a Dr. Who believed that something was wrong with me. I had all the test to rule out possible ailments. However, I did discover I have osteoarthritis, hypothyroidism, and digeneritive disk disease. After several years of using many of the normal fibro drugs I found a natural product that has profoundly helped with the pain and depression. It hasn’t currd me by no means but I’m able to function and do a lot of the things I had given up on. One thing that’s kept me going is to do exactly that. Keep going and doing even through the pain. Sitting for long periods of time is worse for stiff joints. So I get up every morning and do my daily chores even though it’s painful. It is my prayer that a cure will someday be found. Thank you for adding me to this group. I look forward to learning new help ideas to ease my pain.
Welcome! Thank you for sharing your story. I hope that you find this site as helpful as I have. I have found compassion, understanding and some really good ideas and different things to try. I believe that we need somewhere we can go to express ourselves without the judgement that we sometimes get from those who do not suffer from any chronic illness.

Hi Pam!

I have Psoriatic Arthritis, my Rheum believes this actually caused the Fibromyalgia! I know, it's always complicated!
Wishing you well,

Hi Pam. I wish you well. I hope you get as much from this site as so many others have. Glad you're here.
The onset of my fibromyalgia happened around losing my Dad and then my Mom. Grief is a powerful thing and can mess up our bodies and our minds. Keeping going and doing is so important. It helps us through the grief. Once we can move, anyway. I'm happy to say that I'm doing better now. Sounds like you are able to move ahead now too.
