Oh Sandi, this is such wonderful news! You enjoy that new baby!
Thanks everyone, the house did not get torn up, looks like it made another assult in the greenhouse, but better that than the house! It was worse down Marcs way as far as damage! It's really hard on me, it's not just the joints this time but the muscles too, so it has the arthritis and fibro screaming, and more storms rolling in tomorrow night! ugh!
To top it all off, my grandson has been here with us, he brought a sheet that one of them had dumped an entire bottle of cologne on, and it made he and I so very sick, I washed about 10 times, in all the soda I had, put charcoal in with it, finally had to throw it out! Still not over that, now they're sanding and painting the upstairs! Anyone have a spare gas mask?
Oh, that fits on SO MANY levels!
Hi SK!
You have been in my prayers for safety during these storms. I'm glad you heed tornado warnings. I used to live in the midwest and tornadoes were not to be trifled with! The arthritis and fibro are going to be affected by the low pressure drops, so hang in there. Every storm has to stop eventually. Do you have a way of heating some towels to wrap around sore places?
Congratulations on your new grandson. No gas masks here, but I highly recommend bandannas....I remember using them when my son had green diapers. Ew....
Dumb question - with these storms, how can they do the painting? You can't open the windows for ventilation!
Stay safe in all ways,
Hugs,
Scribelle
Thanks for the update SK. We care so much about you!
Oh SK, so glad to hear from you. So you survived the storms so far, but how lovely to look forward to another storm predicted for tomorrow!! I find that changes in weather and barometric pressure irritate both my fibro and my arthritis so there really is no part of our bodies that aren't affected and it often sparks a migraine!! Sheesh
Oh that cologne would have made me nauseous and sparked a migraine. I know that we were raised to not throw things out but there is a limit and smells really get to me. You have probably used up enough laundry detergent, soda, electricity and charcoal that might be as costly as to buy a new sheet.
It's good to hear from you and be updated. Although I do hear about your storms it is brief and in general terms. I live in Alberta, Canada so I am many hundreds of miles from you.
Love
Rachel
Hey Sue,
I will keep on praying for some pain relief for you and some cologne relief for the whole house! Perhaps ask the hubby for a massage=;) Are you able to take a bath with some epson salt? I think a homemade mask would be a good idea. Take a nice clean dish towel and wrap around your mouth. That painting would make me sick as well. Is there a room in the home where you can go and open a window for a while for some fresh air (if there is any)?
Oh my friend, keep on fighting the good fight and know we all love you and are praying for you
Maria
Oh my, how did I miss this? Congratulations Sandi. Surely the stork did not fly this little girl in! What a blessing in the middle of all of the storms.
I'm very happy for you!
Hugs,
LKitty
SK, are they gone yet? I can't imagine going through a storm like you have endured this spring. So many of them! And the remodeling to boot!
What a trooper you are. We all appreciate and love you so much. I'm so glad you are taking care of yourself. Please stay safe and do whatever you have to in order to be comfortable.
Big Hugs,
LKitty
