Have you thought about purchasing a small trampoline until you can get outside and run/jog again? I want to get started jogging again but I always need a little support and someone pushing me to get started! The most running I’ve done in a while is when my Molly slipped out of the office door and I had to chase her. I learned my lesson. NEVER chase a dog… They just think it’s a game. Now if she gets loose which isn’t too often, I kneel or sit down and act like I’m crying. Works every time!! LOL
I hope you don’t have to have knee surgery either! I had surgery on my knee years ago because I had an extra bone floating around and it was rubbing against the other bone which caused a great deal of pain. The surgeon said he had never seen anything like it. He actually showed it to me. The rehabilitation is not pleasant so hold off as long as you can. Your surgery would be a lot more intense! I don’t trust anyone else to walk Molly because I don’t think they would have the strength to hold onto her. She’s a very hyper Jack Russell and strong. She’s nearly ripped my arm off many times!
Exercise is so good for anxiety and depression but they always say to do very gentle exercise with Fibro.
I have faith that you will continue just take it slow and easy!!! Hugs
Wow, GBear, an extra “floating” bone in the knee does sound painful! I’m glad they took care of it for you, but sorry about the painful rehab!
I don’t know what life would feel like without a furbaby. over the years I have lost so many. At one time i had 3 huskies and walked each of them a mile after work. No way i could walk a tiny dog now, but i have a special rescue cat - they had named her Mia. She was very shy, so i did not change the name as she had been overlooked for 2 years. She had a medical issue they did not know how to handle and my vet is truly a “wizard”, so now Mia is a playful loving cat. I was just now reading from the very start about everyone’s dear furbaby’s and agree, they add much to our lives and it breaks our hearts when they die. I am just now back to having a bit of time to check ALL the posts. hoping someday there is actually a “cure” for fibro but in the meantime, keep our chins UP !
