I was recently diagnosed with fibro.I am not too happy with my rheumatologist at this time though.I would like to know if anyone else suffers from severe cramps in their legs and other areas that literally take your breath away? Also at times I get a bad burning across my back and quite often itching all over.My doctor seems to dismiss all this.Any help I can get would be great.Thank you.

Hi. I personally would not and do not see any doctor that is dismissive of how I feel. And yes , I have and do have similar experiences such as you describe. All the best to you !

Completely agree with Suzie, you need a Doc who 'gets' this tricky condition. Is it possible for you to change?
For me, I have not suffered the cramps. I do experience burning and itching sensations across different areas of my body. I recently read an article about how itching is a feature of Fibro. According to the article, tho' not absolutely proved, it is to do with the brain interpreting messages incorrectly, which seem to be a recurring theme in Fibro. Please do not quote me, cos i have probably explained this really badly! the message i am trying to get across is that you are not imagining this, and although there may not be anything that can be done, your Doc should not dismiss this. It happens, it is real!

Thank you Suzie,when I first saw this doctor I told him I get serve cramps and during my exam I got a cramp so bad I flew off the exam table his remark was oh I get them too.And yes I am looking for another doctor. Thanks again for your help.
