The longer I sleep, the stiffer I am when waking!

With the added work of Christmas, I have been working more, sleeping longer, getting up to go to the bathroom less. Now all of that sounds great until waking, barely being able to move! Having arthritis of the spine doesn't help matters. Some mornings I have to go straight to the tub to loosen me up enough to even stretch!

How about you?

Good morning, SK! Yep, I am more stiff in the morning (it is hard for me even to pee because my legs are so stiff) when I do more in the day and thus sleep more. But don’t you think it is because of all the work that your are doing or at least partly because of it? Only a week to go and then you can have your big day and afterwards let your house go back to normal. Big sigh! Have a great day.

Hey MB,

No, I don't think it's the work either, it's the Spondylitis and the Costochondritis! They're killers! I have a feeling he will change my meds next month. He mentioned Humira, but I have heard it makes a lot of people pretty sick. But I won't know until I try it, I guess.

Well, I try to deep clean every 6 months at least. I have done just about everything I had planned, still some really high spots, on top of high cupboards I need to try to get to. I may need to get one of those adjustable, bendable, long reach swiffers for that. I think I'd rather have a butler! Have to be pleasant to look at though! Wouldn't that just go over with the husband? ha! If he cooked, he may not even mind!

The only thing I know that works for stiffness is to get moving, sometimes you just feel like you're going to break!

Hope you are having a good day!

Hugs,

SK

Yeah, what’s up with this feckin costochondritis? I am about sick of it. I was walking Tulip this morning and just feeling fine and then I had this shooting pain in my ribs. Sometimes it hurts constantly and sometimes it is shooting and stabbing. It never gets better! Ughhhhh!

You are a better woman than I am- deep cleaning every six months. When I felt better, I kinda did deep cleaning all the time, one room at a time, so then I wouldn’t get overwhelmed. And I just like having a really clean house! Part of my OCD surfacing

Whoopsie. I accidentally relied before I was done. I have decided what your Christmas present will be but you will get it a couple of days after Christmas. Thor and Giuseppe will be at your house for one week and will be at your beck and call. So save all that after Christmas cleaning and putting decorations, etc. away. But don’t use up all their energy because they are coming to me next and then on to Avenk and then on to Jo in England so she can get ready for the upcoming move and wedding.

Oh! Jo's getting married! How wonderful, I missed something somewhere while I was scrubbing, scratching and wrapping! I have heard her say what a good guy her BF is so I am very happy for her! And glad to share the handsome help with her!

Years ago, before I had a name to this pain in my ribs, or this disease on my back, my ribs were so bad, I couldn't pick up a tea cup, my hubby nearly carried me to the Dr, he and Doc are old friends, well, he told me to lay down so he could have a better look at me, and must have shown him the needle, next thing I know they are both holding me down and I'm getting a shot of demerol in the sternum area! OOOOHHH WEEEE!! I will never forget it, but you know, that knocked it right out of me! So I guess if it gets that bad again, I can always resort to that.

I've been making cookies since predawn! ha! Hey, gotta do it while you feel like it!

So, do I get to fuss at you like you fuss at me? LOL I would never do that. I don’t understand the costochondritis. I guess that is something else to talk to the doc about. It makes me crazy how it flares up and can flare up quite suddenly. It feels like someone is stabbing me in the ribs. I have salonpas on my ribs right now. They help some. The new rheumy suggested pain management but I am not too sure about that. Hope you get some good rest tonight. Wish I was close enough to steal some of your cookies! LOL
