Vertigo...anyone else?

I get vertigo too, and I think it is related to fibro. I know other people who have fibro as well and experience vertigo. I have found exercises that seem to help and I think that they are on web md? I would google home remedies or exercises for vertigo, that's where I found some helpful information. Good Luck!!!!! =)

I have vertigo at times. I actually had it bad yesterday but after I ate lunch & really pushed my water intake, I was feeling better by the afternoon. I'm not sure if it's related to the Fibro or just being dehydrated. I hope you find a way to deal w/ yours. Good luck!

Hello..

I've recently started to get vertigo and dizzy spells. For me it feels more like when you get off a roller coaster and/or elevator.

Sometimes It feels like an after shock effect under my feet where the floor feels like it's vibrating. I've never had vertigo so frequently as I am now. I usually take allergy pills like Allegra, Claritin or Flonase to ease the sinuses which may cause more vertigo/dizziness.

Thank you all for feedback. MRI came back OK. Apparently is ā€œjust becauseā€ vertigo. Went to the ENT and gane me some manauvers and exercises for whenever another episode comes about. I guess is just something that I will have to live with!!!

I had my first Positional Vertigo episode in 2008, 4 years before my fibro diagnosis. It took a good 2 months for it to go away completely. I have since had 2 other "episodes". I take Betahistine when it acts up. I also had MRI, CT, bloodwork etc and a trip to an ENT specialist. The maneuvers worked when the doctor's did them but not when I tried at home. I have residual vertigo now, I have to be careful I don't move too quickly. It sucks. It's the worst feeling in the world. Puts me out of commission for a few days and my family counts on me for so much. As far as coping, just pray that when it happens, you don't have any plans for a few days. xo {{HUGS}}

My hubby suffers Vertigo as well. He dose not have fibro. He takes ginger pills and drinks ginger tea. Been about a year now and he has had three attacks. Two bad ones and a very mild one .Take care , hugs.

Hi. I was diagnosed with FM in 2008 and just 2 weeks ago I was diagnosed with, Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). By my Rheumy. I don’t get the spinning I get the light headedness and feel like I’m floating out of my body.

I’m amazed at how many have issues with vertigo. Mine is from BPPV - loose crystals deep in my ear - previously mentioned. My last Ear, Nose the Throat doctor taught me something called the Epley maneuver that I can do at home. I did the exercises and they worked. It’s happened twice since - once after a knock to my head - and both times, it was gone within a week.

Hello. It’s weird that I’ve started having vertigo, and my blood pressure has decreased in the past month. It was averaging 127/75, now it’s averaging 105/51. I recently got a prescription for my blood pressure meds, but I’m not taking them every day(per Dr), and I’m monitoring my blood pressure twice a day. After posting this I don’t know if it’s vertigo or dizziness. I was standing up the other day and felt like I was moving. Once I was driving and when I looked before making my right on red turn, I was dizzy and confused. I’m going to speak with the Dr about it.
