I live in the Pacific Northwest and I LOVE the rain! I’m one of those that thinks umbrellas are silly and make you look like a tourist!
But autumn weather and fibro… hmmm. I have tried to ignore the aches and stiffness the last few days, but I can’t anymore. I don’t care who says weather isn’t a factor (typically don’t believe in fibro either) but I have learned this year that summer means my legs, ankles and feet swell and fall means I’m going to cycle back into pain, stiffness and frustration. I do NOT talk about this with anyone except my husband, but I kinda want to complain that while everyone else is grumbling about the weather, I’m aching and tired but mad cause I can’t think of a more perfect afternoon than rain and a book! But now I will share that time with pain. I don’t consider myself a “bad case”… I still work 45-50 hours week and care for my kids and family… but sometimes I would like to drop off this fibro at a sitter for the day so I can do all of this without pain. Ok, hopefully I will sleep better tonight and tomorrow will be better. Wishing you all well.
