it's deep winter here in germany and I live just above the cellar, so my floor is made of ice XD
I do have some carpets, but they don't really help. I also dislike wearing shoes at home (since I often sit with my legs crossed or with one foot under my thigh or similar)
so.. does anyone have a tip for me that does not involve wearing 8 pairs of socks? XD
When I'm outside and walking/moving, my feet are deliciously warm, most of the time, only when I slow down or stand in the cold for a while, my feet start burning from the cold very quickly.
I still love winter, the snow (if we had any) is beautiful and everything is so christmassy it's wonderful! ^___^
luckily, no, I'm not diabetic. I think my blood circulation is mostly fine, but due to the betablockers, by blood pressure is medium low, so maybe that's one of the causes.
I think I'll check the stores for socks like that, I have a sports store close by :) thank you
A friend pointed me to something called "Hüttenschuhe" in german (which would translate to... cabin socks or slipper socks) Kids often have them. I'll try to find a pair in my size, since I have giant men's feet XDDD
I got some slippers at a place called Restoration Hardware (online) last year. They are lined with faux fur, filled with down and are awesomely warm (and pretty cheap). I too have low blood pressure and that could definitely be contributing as my doc says that your body does not pump the blood to hands and feet as well, thus making them colder.
Because of my spinal arthritis, it is best for me to keep shoes on, too much time on even wooden floors without shoes will make my back hurt very quickly and severely. The hunters love those socks!
