A fund has been started for JC

As you probably know, JC lost everything in hurricane Sandy. Many have asked how they could give to him directly, so Scott set this up.

Perfect! Thank you and Scott. My donation will be small but heartfelt. I sure wish I was making more and could donate much more.

They all know we are as poor as they come! JC understands, he is one of us! He is so appreciative of even just kind thoughts and well wishes.

Thank you, Petunia girl, it will mean so much to him!

Well, it won't buy much but it's the thought that counts. I wish I lived closer so I could bring him household stuf when he's back on his feet.

Thank you very much for letting us know that he's okay. And Renie too. I still can't believe that in modern times a storm can stop communication, gas, heat and food.

He has no address at this time! I watched the special on Superstorm Sandy on the weather channel last night and the meterologists said Seaside Heights NJ was 'swallowed up' by the storm. It is gone!

Thank you SK & Scott I know JC will need every penny to rebuild, he is such a special person and I pray he can get back on his feet and back to us soon !!!

Hugs& blessings

I just wanted to express heartfelt appreciation to everyone! The Ben’s Friends community has raised $500 so far!! That is a testament to the special people who are a part of this community!

Hugs,

Sunflower

JC called me this morning to tell me that he has been moved to a hotel room on the Jersey coast. He is feeling comfortable and secure, and said he knows that if he needs anything he can count on us to help him out. The strain is gone from his voice now and he is much more at ease. He is still using his temporary cell phone.

He has decided to wait for the clean up and to stay living in the shore, as he has made it his home.

I will be sure to post any time I hear from him. That's all for now.

About a week I took $100 and went to Walmart and picked up all kinds of things the survivers of Hurricane Sandy could use.....We have a group up here called Operation Sandy I gave the goods to them and they brought them down this past Saturday....hope I helped

I'm sure that it did help! That was wonderful of you, the devastation must be beyond words!

I have no income, but I won the $ so I decided to put it back into good :) I have heard horror stories and that FEMA isn't really doing enough :(

The destruction is so massive, surely they are overwhelmed! They are getting the disabled placed first, then families with children... can you imagine the turmoil, and trying to organize for so many?
