Anyone out there know if there is a link between these two conditions. I was admitted to hospital last week with worst ever headache which had been ongoing for 10 days. They have diagnosed probable trigeminal neuralgia as all tests came back negative. I asked if they thought it could be possibly liked to Fibro but they said not linked and have arranged neurology appointment for 2 weeks from now and meantime prescribed Carbamazipine which has help headache a little. Concerned as I am also on Cymbalta for Fibro and worried about interactions. Also since starting Carbamazipine Fibro symptoms have worsened again.

I am so sorry to hear that you suffer this, it is said to be the worst pain the body can produce. There are others here on site who have this and Ben's Friends also has a separate group just for this if you are interested in belonging to both. It is listed at the bottom right of the page.
Though I do not have this, I am sure that others will respond and be of help to you. I hope that you are under the care of a very good Physician.
