Hi Alesandra and welcome. I'm so sorry that your bout of fibro is hurting so much. I know the spine and butt cheeks one is awful! I ended up getting the nerve burned that was causing the pain. It's a procedure called radio ablation and can be used when other methods fail. It worked for quite a while but it comes back and OH that's a killer! Still, you could ask your doctor about it and if it might be appropriate for you.
Also, have you been tested for other auto-immune diseases? If not, you might want to do so. Many of the symptoms overlap with fibro so it can be hard to tell what's what but some of your symptoms sound like they might be more than fibro. Mind you, i'm no doctor though. But it is important to get those tests as many of us have overlapping auto-imune diseases.
Have you tried an ice pack? I use it on the spine and butt cheek area and it helps after a while. PT told me to try it, saying it reduces inflammation.
Do you have anything to help you sleep? My doc has me on Nortriptyline and it works with the Lyrica I also take. Nortriptyline helps me to sleep more comfortably - not feel the pain as i sleep. Only trouble is that the stupid fibro keeps on catching up so I keep needing higher dosages of both. You might want to ask your doctor about something like this to help you if you don't already have something to help out.
My other suggestion is over-the-counter pain patches called SalonPas. They help me when I'm sore and my meds aren't helping. You can get them in any drug store or most supermarkets. They're in a small box.
I hope you're more comfortable now. I do know how awful nights can be when you feel terrible. I find that sitting in a rocker and rocking helps me to feel less stressed when those bad nights happen. Helps to put some of the pain into the rocking.
Hugs,
Pet
Alesandro, I see you were diagnosed on December 10th..........I presume that was Dec.10th of 2013. So you are very new to what it means to have fibromyalgia. It sounds like you might be in a flare. If so, the pain meds that you would normally take and seemed to get some help from, may not work in a flare. If you can find a relaxing position to lie in and purposely think of each muscle group from top to bottom of your body, stopping at each group first tense and hold then relax and notice the difference.
After you learn more about fibro and how it can affect your body then you will be more prepared for the flares. You may be tensing your body from not knowing what pain may hit next. In time you will learn to take them in your stride without tensing.
