Lower back pain getting worse.
I can’t walk like I used to and the stiffness in the mornings have become worse.
As of late the last two times I went to the pool my lower back was tender
Common?
i get lower back pain and stiffness i also have sciatica
Sorry that this is happening to you. Many of us have lower back pain. I don't go to the pool so I don't know about the tenderness. If you are still having lower back pain & walking bent over, just walk- so to speak, into your doctors' office when it opens & he/she will help you out. That is what my doctor did. M
Hi Jenn,
I developed lower back pain two years ago and dismissed it and increased my dosage of tramadol. Then it was hard to ignore and the intensity increased over the next few weeks. I had an MRI done and they found narrowing of the spinal canal. If it goes on too long or nothing seems to help it then I would ask the doctors for an MRI. If your main complaint is stiffness, I take advil before bed to avoid inflammation during the night. I do not really take advil during the day.
Sorry for the worsening pain. You say 'getting worse" , how long has it been going on? I would get it checked out if I were you. You don't want to leave it up to another symptom of Fibromyalgia. Could be different and you want to address it as so. Did you have any trauma lately that could have caused this? When you say stiffness in the morning I assume it loosens up as the days goes on?
Any shooting pains down your legs? etc.
Pain of course in FMS is common and just about anywhere on our poor bodies. I would have it checked out by a Dr. though. Have you tried heat pack then ice it down? This might help if it is inflamed muscle tissue.
I have had lower back pain for well over half my life, some is fibro, some I know is from spinal stenosis. So you really never know. Lower back pain can be very disabling. Try to pin point where the pain is coming from. Like does it feel muscular, spine, lower back near your buttocks.
I sit probably 12-15 hours a day working, plus when I am working at a client I end up in whatever chair they happen to give me. This past week mine was real bad but this client had me basically in a folding chair all week and I was working from 8am until 8pm, then back to the hotel and working some more. So nice to get home last night to my recliner and my own bed. I know my lower back will be worse for the next few days. I use ice a lot and it helps with the inflamation. Plus I make sure I never keep my wallet in my back pocket as that can throw off your hip and hurt my back worse.
I should be walking more and taking more breaks but that's hard to do.
I would make sure you see your Dr. , you never know if it is not fibro, best to catch while it is fairly new.
Fibro hugs and good luck.

@bobby
Thank yes it’s been bothering me for some time .
It tends to worsen on some days if I stand too long in one spot , bucket seats folding chairs etc…
I am currently waiting to see a doctor I can’t until December.
The stiffness in the morning goes away for an hour ( that’s usually the hour I’m in the pool)
After pool by the time I manage to get back in car and drive home the stiffness begins again.
I’m finding it harder to drive at times my elbows or forearms ache…
Iv changed my diet, I don’t smoke cigarettes , I no longer drink, exercising , and yet seems so discouraging.
@bobby yes shooting pain
