prayers and love to you and your family xx
You and she are both now in my daily prayers. I went through a similar situation with my mom in NJ and me here in Calif. Very hard. I am praying for peace and comfort for you both.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I am so thankful that we had her back by us the lasting if her life. On good days, she seemed so happy spending time watching the great-grandchildren play. Her eyes would just light up!
We are going to celebrate her life this Sunday at my nieces’ cafe and coffee bar. It’s a beautiful, relaxing place and she loved it there. My sister and I are going to have a table with all her favorite things; circus peanuts (she and I once tried to roast them like marshmallows - they just turned black and tasted nasty), candy raisins, fairy food, a hard roll with peanut butter and a ice filled glass of Bud Light. Things she loved and we grew to love too. I’ve spent the last few days going through photos to post on easels. Very hard but such great memories. Found a book I gave to her where she had to answer questions about herself growing up and her memories through the years. She gave it back completed in 2001 and now means so much. I hope to find copies so that I can fill them out for my grandchildren. She was a beautiful and funny mom, and I’m so glad she was mine! Thank you all again ~ hugs ~ Sandi
Sandi, the warm memories are what sustains you and keeps your mother alive in your heart.
What a wonderful way to celebrate a life! I am going to pass on this idea to my adult children.
I have instructed them to hold a celebration of my life instead of a funeral, and my daughter has promised to wear bright red with gold shiny trim. She knows the story of how I wanted the red dress with glittery trim when I was 4, but was told to get the pink dress. She is going to wear the colors I had wanted in honor of that moment!
I think I will get one of those books in which you make lists - favorite memories, books, etc. so my children will have that reference someday.
Hugs,
Scribelle
Dearest Sandi,
I am so sorry to hear this sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I hope a call to your Doctor will get you what you need to get through this.
Love and hugs,
SK
What a wonderful celebration of her life. And to have that book as a precious memory link.
Those we love who move on into spirit never leave us. They just dwell in our hearts rather than in our physical presence. They can never, ever be lost from the heart.
