nothing is helping with this hurt all over me , its getting worse , even 100 mg tramadol not working , its from head to toe , usually is but its flooring me , keep trying to do a little but dont have any energy , its driving me crackers ,
Oh angie, I know! It seldom gives us a break! So sorry you are still hurting! You just have to keep going back to the Dr! Mine sees me more than he sees his wife and kids sometimes! Just don't give up, and if you have to go to the Emergency Room!
Sending you hugs and well wishes,
SK
We all know exactly how you feel. I got a light pain day the other day and boy was it nice but they are few and far between anymore. It just seems to get worse. I had to do a grocery store short trip today so I know tomorrow will be awful. So not fair.
Hello Angie,
I'm new to the group and this is my first post. I can identify with what your going through. Sometimes I just want to scream except I don't have the energy! I have a question though, does the tramadol usually work for you? I'm trying to find something to relieve some of this misery. But hang in there and I hope you get some relief soon.
Gentle Hugs, tlc
Isn’t tramadol addictive? Or no? I have some and tried it and it did nothing but give me a tension headache. Vicodin does nothing but make me feel liking my body is singing - which is fun. Lol. Tylenol 4 sometimes gives me a bit of relief but I don’t want to be a pain killer addict so I avoid them and only had a 12 tablets from my last emergency visit.
Funny u say this. Some of the meds (pain killers) help me on some days and some days they don’t. Some days just the ol’ OTC Tylenol alternated by ibuprofen helps but not always. Is it just me? What a confusing condition we have huh?
Angie, Tramodol seems to be the new fibro pain treatment, but honestly I got more relief from 2 Tylenol, the Tramadol did nothing for my pain, it really makes me wonder if the drug company that makes it is just really
Pushing it with the dr’s, because for two years my primary dr. Had nothing to offer me for pain, them all the sudden afew months ago, she say Tramadol is helping lots of fibro Pt’s, and she had no problem writting the script. I know she let’s all kinds of drug reps in her office ( & they bring lunch) & I also know she only has 4 fibro pt’s, so who is it helping??? My opinion is its helping the drug company get rich. Maybe it is helping some, but I thinks it’s important to go back to the dr’s, and tell them at what level it helped pain, like if our pain level is an 8 out of 10 , and the tramadol brings the pain level down to a 7, it gives them a better guide of where the pain is, obviously not enough to really make a difference anyway.
Keep going back, it’s going to take some time for these Dr’s to understand how much pain we have, they just don’t get it…
Don’t give up
There is something that will help… it’s usually a combination of different things
Also when I went to see a Fibro specialist, he said who gave you Tramadol, that should not be taken with Savella, it got past my PCP & the pharmacist, WOW, kinda scary we really need to read up on every thing we take.
Hugs & blessings
I find no rhyme or reason.
I don’t find it relates to the weather. Although I have read some do.
I don’t seem to have the fatigue everyone else has.
I don’t seem to have the fog everyone says they have.
But I sure have the pain.
The most difficult is not being able to relate it to anything. And not having any understanding from my family members. I find 0 triggers except a trip to any store or sitting too long or standing to long wrecks me. My doc seems to be tired of me - I don’t go very often anymore because I have no insurance. So I just keep it in and deal with it. The biggest disappointment is that I have found people really don’t care. If you are a complainer they look the other way and avoid you. Sad but true.
angel, dee is a nurse!
This is why it is so wonderful to have this site, cause we do understand and we listen..my family is getting better, but on here is where we can really pour our hearts.
Always remember there is always someone on here who geniuinely gets it. Take care
Gentle Hugs
Vicky
I am also wondering what can be bought at any health food store cuz if it is some form of legalized marijuana, I am so in!
Never mind- I see you live in Canada. Didn’t think there was any form of legalized marijuana widely available in the good ole US of A.
I appreciate it, Angel. In fact, want to bring it up with my doctor since I'm on Nortriptyline, Lyrica and Effexor. I think it's a great idea to keep ciruclating this info as we have new people all of the time and we also get new meds constantly added to our medicine cabinet full.
I'm glad you brought it up as it reminded me to talk to my doc about it. So thanks!
Vicky,
Can you actually buy Medical Marijuana and Lyrica in a health food store up in Canada? Do you need a prescription to do so?
Medical MJ was just legalized in my state. I am amazed by this.
Really? I only heard about Colorado, hadn't heard that Mass legalized it too!
i know how you feel angie i feel the same i dont want to keep bothering the docs so i just have to get on with it some times i am in tears with the pain but my family dont want to know i think that they are saying i am imagining it but its nice i can have some on to talk to so hang in there angie and hope you have a good day.
Hi gail! I can only encourage you to keep bothering your Doctors until they pay attention and treat you to the best of their ability! If you don't tell them how bad you feel, they don't know, they assume that what ever it is they are doing for you now is sufficient!
