Pain free....sorta... not any more:(

Thanks I small glad I finally decided that I didn’t care what my parents thought I needed to get help.

Ok this hospital has rooms like a nice hotel. U would not believe this room. I am now admitted and the Dr may even see me tonight because he is here in the hospital. Now that I am here I am wondering why I didn’t come earlier. I should have never let what others thought. You all gave me the courage to take a stand and just think about me. I am the kinda person who never wants conflict send will put others before myself even if I don’t feel good.
As of right now all I know is that I have bronchitis again. I feel like I no more get over it and it’s back again.

The er gave me a large dose of daluted. The nurse said it was 13 times more stronger than morphine. The crazy thing is my pain only went from a 10 to a 7. I am still in enough pain that falling asleep is hard. I did ask for a sleeping pill. I hope the Dr will order it. I really need some sleep a few days will do lol. I will give an update in the morning.

Petunia,

For the past 20 years I have had a whooshing sound in my ears which sometimes whistles, but usually amplifies my heart beat in my skull. It can get so bad that I have head pressure, sensitivity to lights, etc.

Part of the diagnostic process is not just getting the MRI and MRA, and other tests like brain scans, but for the patient to be evaluated for a swollen optic nerve and get the peripheral vision tests. The docs have to rule out an annuerysm and other scary diagnoses. For the eye tests to be done, the eyes have to be dilated.

6 months ago, my optic nerve was swollen and since I have this pulsatile tinnitis I became really scared. I tried taking a diuretic about a year ago but the whooshing sound didn’t go away. Right now I’m focusing on my other problems, but see the eye dr tomorrow.

Eyorelover, hope you are being taken care of now. I was reading some posts of yours, and would suggest writing down your symptoms and some possible diagnoses others have suggested. If I were there, I would do this for you but feel helpless to help. Got your call, so I have your number. Message me if I can help. xxxx

I know what you mean. The headaches make me crazy sometimes. Since I have the whooshing noises, I get my hearing checked every year. The Ear, Nose and Throat doc helped the most but the neurologist helped with the migraines. He prescribed Cambria powder which helps me stand the head pressure.

Wish you luck, wish could help more.

Petunia,
Thanks for your kind words. My list of ailments keeps growing!

I hope and pray Eyorelover finds relief at the ER.

The diuretic helps reduce the amount of spinal fluid, but not as well as other mechanisms to reduce it. If Eyoreluver has this problem, it may be a blessing to finally get a diagnosis that can be treated! She has suffered too long.

Thinking of you, and keeping you in my prayers. The only person who will take care of you is YOU and shame on your step father and best friend for being so insensitive! Makes me angry but I’m grateful you had the courage to go to this hospital.

Being a friend from a distance, I would ask you to write the things down mentioned below, in addition to helpful advice received already. Gives the doctor someplace to start.

In addition to making sure you don’t have pneumonia, I would ask for:

-basic bloodwork

-chest X-ray (pneumonia rule out, recurrent rib pain)

-MRA (use contrast dye to look for aneurysm )

-tests measuring amt of spinal fluid

-tests for swelling of optic nerve, visual field testing

-tests to rule out heart problems (chest pain), sonogram of heart and neck

-tests to rule out tick borne diseases to include the full western blot, co-infections, (some symptoms could be attributed to these diseases, more common than we realize)

I’m bringing up the tick topic because it seems like your immune system is compromised. This is the same thing which happened to me.

Big hugs,

Sunny

EeyoreLuver, I’m so proud of you for having the courage to go back to the ER, did they keep you there ? I hope you were able to get some sleep, what about the bronchitis ?? I’m sorry the dilaudid didn’t help, I wanted to tell you to make sure you told them you have had dilaudid with no relief, I was hoping they would try something else.
Please let us know if you are home, what they did besides the dilaudid ?
Thinking about you !!!

Boy, all of your symptoms aren't good. I hope and pray they do a lot of tests to figure out what is what. And not release you until those tests are done and you are better. I'm presuming that you're now asleep since no more messages from you. Sleep well and I hope you awaken more refreshed and pain free.

Petunia

Still no new message from Eeyore so I'm praying that she's sleeping. And then awakens pain free.

Good night, Eeyore.

Yup I keep looking for a message also…
Hope you are sleeping girl !!!
Please let us know

Zzzzzzzzzz praying for ya
Hugs

I did finally get a few hours of good sleep. I woke up very tired but I can get meds soon to help me sleep. Iam hoping I sleep all night. I am on a combo of meds that seem to controling the pain and migraines pretty well.

This is good news! And I presume that you are (hopefully!) still in the hospital.

May you get back to sleep soon. And then get a lot of much needed rest. And then lose the headache. And then get info on what's up and what to do.

Take care,

(Tucks Eeyore in)

Gentle hugs,

Petunia

Stephanie,

Many blessings for a peaceful and pain free night, and a diagnosis to explain all you’re going through.

Hugs,

Sunny

I’m so glad you are getting some sleep, and some relief from that migraine !!!

We are thinking about you !!!
Gentle hugs

IM GLAD YOURE GETTING SOME RELIEF AND SOME SLEEP YOURE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS

I'm taking the lack of messages as a good sign for once. I think that Eeyoreluver is getting some much needed sleep plus some much needed care. I hope so! Let's hope that she's getting tests done and answers to her awful illness.

I'm putting a prayer in for you, Stephanie, for you to get better. You've been through so much with such little help. Nobody should have to face all of that alone. I am hoping that you don't have to go through anything like this again, that the doctors at the latest hospital can figure out what's messing your body up and find a cure for it.

Sweet dreams, Stephanie.
