EeyoreLuver , I’m so sorry this migraine just won’t let go, I have been there !!! I so remember & it pains me to know what you are going through, are you scheduled to see a neurologist ? Or a pain dr? As far as triggers you have to keep a list of what ever you eat that makes it worse, I know for me if I eat pizza I get an instant h/a, try and avoid cheese, sugar, caffeine chochalate… I know when my neurologist first gave me the list of trigger foods I was like are you serious…??? Did I read that you drink pop ? Big no no, it’s keeping your sugar level up and as soon as your blood level for sugar drops instant h/a, actually it interesting I went to see a homeopathic dr. I told her that if I don’t eat I get a horrible h/a, and I have been waking up with doozies for 29 years, she thinks when I’m sleeping my blood sugar drops, triggers the liver to release toxins into blood stream and Bam instant h/a, my worst migraines are when I don’t eat , I know it’s hard but try to eliminate the sugar in your diet, like I stopped putting it in my coffee & tea & I notice a huge difference, I also snack a lot to make sure I don’t have huge drops in my blood sugar.
As far as the re-bound h/a, I’m sorry I just saw your question to me, I always check my messages, on my page, maybe you can leave me a message next time you have a specific question to me , I’m so sorry I just saw it… Anyway, rebound for me is when I get a migraine I take a fiorinol ( dr. Would rather prescribe fioricet) I have no clue, but the fiorinol works better for me. I suffered for 17 years & then one day I was out with a friend and I was complaining about this migraine, she had fiorinol, gave me one and wow!!! I was like finally something that helps !!! Anyway don’t ever take someone else’ s meds that is very bad, I know better now, so back to the rebound, if one didn’t work, I would take two, usually it would take it away, but occasionally when the med wore off it would come back, so I would take another one, usually by day 3-4, it becomes a cycle, I would take one or two, it would come back, take more, it would come back… When the medication wears off and the migraine comes back stronger that’s usually rebound, I have learned sometimes when 2 doesn’t even touch it … That’s when I go to the ER, happened 3 x this year, the idea is to prevent the migraine, know your triggers, I almost always wake up with a headache, if the pain is under a 5, I take 2 Tylenol, and sometimes just moving around helps, opposite of your typical migraine, most people lie down, and sometimes I have to if it’s a PMS, h/a, but the one that wakes me in the morning I have to get up, feels like I have been hanging upside down all night long and all the blood is in my head… This may sound crazy, but when my daughter was little the pressure was so bad in my head I would have her sit on my head LMAO, I’m not kidding, I do also have bad sinus issues so every change of season my headaches get worse.
I hope something I said helped, I do understand H/A 's Iv been researching them just about my whole life, thank god they are better than they used to be, but if my house was on fire I would prob grab my fiorinol over … Well that’s a bad example,
I’m rambling , when rebound hits five days off everything is a good way to get control, then try a fioricet & see if that helps…many times going to ER, would help my migraine, like you 2-3 shots of dilaudid, but the next day bam h/a, Iv learned over the years if I get all worked up about it, it got worse, now I would take an antiaxiety med, & it helps the h/a better than anything. Just a thought
Hope you get some relief, BTW- my last migraine was the day I was having surgery, because of not eating all day, having to wait & the stress of surgery, anyway the anesthesiologist gave me a sedative to just relax me, as soon as I sat back and relaxed it started to ease up… Worst migraine I ever had… That was in Sep.
Hugs & blessings
